They eloped to the Napa Valley and were married at Harvest Inn in St. Helena on the Vine Rose lawn with two of their friends as witnesses.

They were married in an evening wedding at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma. It had been raining the morning of their wedding day and the ceremony and reception was scheduled to take place outside under the evening sky. The weather cooperated that day and the wedding took place outside just as planned.
Earlier this year, we photographed them for their engagement photos. You can view those photos on this blog, which were posted back in March.

A special pre-ceremony meeting was the first time Jackie and Andy saw each other. As this was an evening wedding, they opted to do all of their formal photos pre-ceremony in order to take advantage of the available daylight. The next three photos reveal the anticipation and emotion they felt seeing each other.








This is a guest that walked by on the way to the ceremony site and toasted Andy.

Getting married on a weekend has long been a tradition, however, week day weddings and elopements have been pretty popular for some time now. Dana and David chose Napa Valley for their destination wedding on a Thursday afternoon at Churchill Manor. They decided to walk down the isle together and join a small group of special guests for their ceremony.

The groom gives his bride a soft kiss during the ceremony after the ring exchange. This was before they shared their “marital kiss”, as Pastor Bob calls it.

They walked into the entrance of the mansion after the processional and shared a special moment.

They were married in Napa at Churchill Manor on a Wednesday afternoon with a few guests in attendance.

They wanted to have a special meeting between just the two of them in a beautiful vineyard prior to their ceremony. It was very special to stay back and photograph their sincere interaction and it has a different feel to it as opposed to the traditional seeing each other for the first time when the bride walks down the isle.



We met up with the bridal party at Sylvan Manor, which was their ceremony site, for some more pre-ceremony photos.

This is a small detail that was attached to each of the flowers their mothers carried.

The isle was decorated with this beautiful floral monogram.



Attention to detail could be seen in the flower arrangements everywhere.

This is just before the ceremony was to begin. I love the mini story in just this one photo . . . the two concerned mothers, the grandmother watching both of them and father of the groom all waiting.

Here comes the bride! Her father not only escorted her down the isle but also performed the ceremony.


It goes without saying that the bride and groom are photographed during the ceremony. We also like to capture the joy that others share with the couple. This is Mark’s best man, Nathanael, whose marriage to Christy we photographed last year.

When it came time for the ring exchange, the groosmen passed this matryoshka, which are russian wooden dolls that can be taken apart to reveal smaller dolls. The rings were in the smallest doll.
